ABOUT US
At PISIM Health Support Services, our journey began with a simple but profound
belief that everyone deserves a good life (mino-pimatisiwin). We recognize the
importance of cultural healing. At the heart of our work is the understanding
that many Indigenous youth require assistance to recover from past trauma. We
support Indigenous youth recovering from trauma, using traditional practices to
make healing meaningful and relevant.
We strive to foster their autonomy, control, confidence, and empowerment as
they move forward. Our approach is grounded in providing compassionate, non-
judgmental, and trauma-informed care with empathy at its core.
WHO WE ARE
We are 100% Indigenous owned and operated agency
Social workers, youth and child care workers staff our company. We also have a program consultant on staff with years of experience in child welfare, PPMS, First Nations, and Bill C-92. We work with delegated First Nations agencies and other Child and Family Services.
All our staff are required to complete trauma-informed and crisis response training.

OUR MISSION
Guided by Indigenous values and teachings, PISIM Youth Support Services is committed to utilizing every resource entrusted to us to support the
spiritual, emotional, physical, and mental well-being of Indigenous youth. We work to empower youth through culturally responsive, strengths-
based, and trauma-informed services.
We envision a thriving future where Indigenous youth are supported, empowered, and celebrated—grounded in their cultures, confident in their identities, and equipped with the skills and opportunities needed to live independent, meaningful, and self-determined lives. Through education, community connection, and cultural continuity, Indigenous youth are able to shape their own futures while strengthening their nations and communities.
